They are both interesting detective stories but closer to watching a movie and seeing if you can put together the clues you are shown before the point the big reveal spells it all out than actually looking for hidden secrets and proving the case yourself.Īhh, yes, I would definitely prefer the latter, of piecing together a detective case myself, even if there's some guidance in the game, just not too much I will check them out! :) If that's what you are after I would recommend not picking up Murdered: Soul Suspect or The Wolf Among Us as they are both very linear without much choice, thought or action from yourself to alter what happens. Looks like there's plenty of titles I actually hadn't even heard of, to scratch my itch for a detective game! I mean, none probably check all my boxes at once, since I guess that would be a very massive game in order to accommodate all the tags I was searching for.

What makes this series so interesting for me is that things can become quite tricky in later levels not only do you need to collect evidence and draw your conclusions from it, you're also going to have to listen what people say and optionally even use their words against them to prove the inconsistencies in their stories. If the group finds out the killer otoh then they'll be executed and life goes on. It's actually a whole series and a simple story: group of kids get locked up and need to play a "game": if one of them kills another and gets away with it then the killer goes free and the rest of group will be killed too. If you're into Anime then I can recommend this one: Noir mentioned above I also didn't think it was that great either because you can't really make mistakes one way or the other you'll always be pointed to the actual criminal.īut despite that it's still one heck of a game with a truly unique and awesome atmosphere.Īlas.
